What is Chin Lien?

Chin Lien refers to Chinese individuals with ancestral origins from Qinzhou (欽州) and Lianzhou (廉州), municipal regions in Guangxi (广西). Guangxi is located in the southern part of China, bordered southwesterly by Vietnam.  As migrations between these two areas are common, many Chin Lien people have Vietnamese-Chinese backgrounds.

What is the Chin Lien Chinese Association of Victoria?

The Chin Lien Chinese Association of Victoria, one of many societies around the world, aims to create a social and cultural hub for individuals of the Chin Lien background. Located in Springvale, there are regular activities each Sunday at the Guanyin Temple (護國觀音廟), as well as various events throughout the year.
